Bringing New York's most inventive cocktail bar to the heart of West Hollywood.
The Project: I brought Double Chicken Please — the Lower East Side institution that turned the cocktail into a drinkable meal — into ARDOR, Signature Restaurant of The West Hollywood EDITION, for an exclusive two-night takeover. It was a natural fit: a bar built on culinary thinking, hosted inside a kitchen that shares the same obsession with flavour and craft.
This wasn't a standard guest shift. Faye Chen and her team brought their signature drinks and their entire philosophy west, and we met them at the pass. Together we created a one-off collaboration menu — a genuine dialogue between two kitchens and one bar, where ARDOR's plates were built to converse with Double Chicken Please's glasses, and each pushed the other further.
The Takeover: On August 13th & 14th, 2026, Double Chicken Please (No. 41 in the World, and a former No. 1 bar in North America) took over ARDOR for two nights. Guests experienced the bar's most iconic serves alongside dishes created exclusively for the occasion — a rare chance to taste one of the world's most original drink programs exactly as it's meant to be: food and cocktail, inseparable.
